glina animate

Invocation

glina animate [<file.glb>] --preset <name> [--out <file.glb>] [--config <path>]

Purpose

Apply Glina's deterministic animation preset to a GLB and gate the animated result.

Inputs and options

  • <file.glb> is optional when a workspace import is active. An explicit path wins; otherwise Glina uses the accepted active destination.
  • --preset <name> is required and names a declaration; no preset is assumed. Glina ships dragon for its reference rig and motion for any GLB with an armature. motion keys three root-motion clips: idle, travel, and attack. glina presets list shows the actual installed set; presets add accepts more declarations.
  • --out <file.glb> selects the result; by default -animated is inserted before .glb.
  • --config <path> selects Blender MCP settings; a missing explicit file or malformed config refuses. Only an absent implicit default is optional.

Output and state

Imports the source into Blender, applies the declared actions, exports the output, runs the gate requiring materials, moving animation and as many clips as the preset declares, and prints the result as JSON. The source remains unchanged. A preset with required bone names refuses a rig missing those bones.

Refusals

A missing path or active import writes error: animate requires a .glb path or an active imported asset and exits 2. A missing --preset writes error: animate requires --preset <name>; available: dragon, motion and exits 2. An unknown preset exits 2 with error: unknown preset <name>; available: dragon, motion. Blender, export, and gate errors exit 1 with the failed operation on stderr.

Without either an explicit path or an active import, the command exits 2. A missing indexed active file is a refusal rather than a silent fallback.
