glina import
Invocation
glina import <file.glb> [--name <id>] [--variant-of <base-id>] [--config <path>]
Accepted input
The input must be a readable .glb. Glina stages the exact bytes under its data directory, runs the same verifyAsset structural gate used everywhere else and the configured Blender render-smoke gate when enabled, then commits only a successful candidate. No generation, model inference, trade, or credential display occurs.
--name may contain at most 64 ASCII letters, digits, dots, underscores, or hyphens and must begin with a letter or digit. Without it, Glina derives the id from the filename. An absent implicit config uses the built-in gate; a missing explicit --config file or malformed config refuses rather than silently dropping its settings.
--variant-of links a distinct accepted GLB to an existing base asset id. A variant cannot parent another variant. Glina refuses an unknown parent or bytes already held in the workspace without changing the active selection or stored files. The result names variantOf; omit the option for an independent base asset.
Results, duplicates, and failures
The JSON report is one of:
imported: a new exact GLB and manifest entry were committed and activated.unchanged: the same SHA-256 content already exists; it is reactivated without another copy.conflicting: the id or destination already belongs to different content; existing data is preserved.rejected: reading or complete verification failed; no partial destination or manifest entry remains.
The report includes source, id, variant parent and durable path when applicable, a reason when refused, and the canonical verification report. It never prints credential contents. A failed gate lists the actual structural reasons; variant parent <id> is not in the Glina workspace identifies a missing base.
Reuse
The accepted destination becomes the default when glina verify, glina animate, glina preview anim, or glina preview scene omits its GLB path. An explicit path always wins. glina workspace remove <base-id> refuses while that base has variants; remove the variants first. The original files are never deleted.
